I have been working in the industry for four years, freelancing with small businesses, bands and individuals to design and program economical e-commerce websites that fit their needs. My expertise in graphic design also extends to brochures, business cards, book covers and flyers. I recently finished designing "Divine Images" by Kati Russell (which will be published in 2009) and the cover for "Transcending Illusion" by Thea Ivie. (expected out sometime this year) I am very experienced in HTML and CSS. I've also worked with Javascript, PHP and Macromedia Flash. I program my pages in notepad (or notepad++,) and although i'm experienced in Microsoft Front Page and Dreamweaver I prefer not to work with them so I can write my code from scratch; that way I avoid any "filler" code those programs add. I am also certified by the University of Akron in SQL, Access Databases, and Visual Basic. I don't work directly with these often, but because of my certifications I can communicate easily with programmers of any language. I have a strong grasp on programming logic and understand how to incorporate those elements into a design. For design on the web I predominantly use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Designing for print, I mainly use Adobe InDesign and Illustrator. Other programs I have used frequently are Jasc Paint Shop, Corel Painter, and Adobe Image Ready. It is a place for press and fans to go and get information about the band, as well as listen to their music, view their photos and download wallpapers. He helped design the search engine and I developed the database which is fully controlled with SQL. I took over and made multiple tweaks to the design- (including the update boxes, photo galleries, additional side-bars and background) I have taken all the photography on this site, food, product and events. I am currently developing a new version using the liquid design to allow it to expand into branches as the business grows. (adding a catering sub-site, more extensive photo galleries, interactive menus, tv spots viewable online and new food photography) Stay tuned for version two! |
